Is Kashmir Safe for Trekking?

Before planning a tour to Kashmir, a significant number of people will be in a dilemma of whether the state is a safe place to visit or not. With the past incidences occurring in the land of serenity, tourists are hesitant to visit Kashmir in the recent years. The agitation and argument upon the control of the state enraged in the year 2010, but the peace has been established again in the valleys of Kashmir.

Hospitality of Kashmiris for tourists

Kashmir is the land of beautiful scenic views and peaceful atmosphere which was followed as a legacy by the natives of the state. The place was known for the hospitality the Kashmiris offer to their tourists. With the raising conflicts and terrorism, the goodness of the people went under the covers. Across the years the army has taken a strong control of the state to bring peace in the state for the tourists visiting Kashmir.

Why is it safe to trek with local guide?

Despite all the efforts made by the media to create a loophole in the tourism industry of Kashmir, the reality is the trails of Himalayas and the Kashmir valleys are the least affected areas of the state. There are hardly any chances for the travelers to face any difficulty while trekking as there will be locals to guide the route. Apart from that, we can assure a safe trek experience for you as we are a local company and well informed about the curfews and agitations beforehand.

Apart from the local guides, the major trek routes like Pahalgam, Sonamarg and Gulmarg are guarded by army men and you will often pass by the check post of army officials. The borders of the mountains are guarded by the alert army men and they are seen patrolling around the peaks to ensure complete safety.

Around the year's travellers feel safer in the mountains and every year there is an increase in the number of trekkers in Kashmir.

To ensure the complete safety of the tourists it has been mandated to carry a valid ID prove which is asked to show at every army check post in the Kashmir valleys. The tight security at the borders and the hostile natives of Kashmir has contradicted the belief of the state being unsafe because it's not just a state but the heaven on earth.

The beauty of Kashmir cannot be compared with any other destinations because this is the only place where you can find beautiful landscapes, snow-clad mountains and pristine lakes under one roof.

Dream for Adventure seekers

For the adventure seekers, the place is a paradise because it has everything in its store. Starting from the Whitewater rafting in Sonamarg to skiing in Gulmarg. And the magnificent meadows in Pahalgam is the perfect spot for camping.

Kashmir is surely a gem engraved in the land of India. For once in life, one should definitely visit this northernmost state to enjoy the enigmatic view of nature. Make your trip to India complete with a visit to Kashmir and experience the refreshing air of serenity to know that Kashmir is a safe place for tourists.
